THE artist

HM and Briony Morrow-Cribbs first connected over 20 years ago, when she was completing her Fine Arts degree at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, and showing an arresting level of technical finesse and artistic expression with intaglio printmaking. In 2007 we collaborated on Iskandariya, a prose poem by the American poet Brigit Pegeen-Kelly accompanied by Briony’s aquatints. The book remains one of HM’s most noteworthy publications.

During the years since, Briony has established a successful career as a commercial artist and illustrator, while also sustaining her fine-art printmaking, getting married, having a child, herding chickens and doing various other adult things.

It’s taken 15 years for our schedules and energies to mesh again, meeting up in Dunwich.
